About daycare
Children in outdoor daycare:
- Develop creative thinking and imagination
- Improve observation and concentration skills
- Increase physical and mental endurance
- Boost self-confidence and belief in themselves
- Form a positive connection with nature
- Grow in curiosity
Research has shown that spending a lot of time outdoors daily supports the development of a child’s motor skills, coordination, tactile sensitivity, and perception of distance and depth. Being outdoors provides children with the opportunity to connect with nature. Direct experiences with nature (including urban nature) are the best way to cultivate environmental awareness, creative thinking, consideration for others, and self-trust in children.
- We welcome children aged 1.5 to 3 years.
- We offer thoughtfully planned learning activities and early childhood education based on the child’s needs. We have a structured daily schedule that includes a morning circle, developmental lessons, outdoor walks, three meals, and a pleasant nap. Weekly, we conduct developmental and age-appropriate activities: gymnastics, music, art, language, and speech.
- Among other learning activities, we implement a self-regulation program, as well as STEAM and digital education.
- Each day also includes time for free play.
- Together, we celebrate children’s birthdays and important days on the folk calendar.
- To share the child’s daily activities, map their development, and convey necessary information to the parents, we use the Kindiedays information system.
- The teachers at Väike Päike have undergone the required preparation to provide closeness, a sense of security, and developmental opportunities in the child’s first group setting.
- All our teachers undergo first aid training.
- We are open on weekdays from 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
- We offer daycare based on a monthly contract.
