Special education teacher

The special education teacher/counsellor assesses the general cognitive ability, the level of development in various areas (perception, memory, thought processes, attention and concentration, learning skills) as well as social and communicative skills, abilities related to hand-eye coordination and two hands coordination. In addition, she assesses whether and what kind of help the child can accept.

Primary family (child and parents) counselling 90 min, price €80
Recurring family (child and parents) counselling 60 min, price €60

• The parent’s questions and concerns regarding the child’s development are mapped.
• The child’s development is evaluated.
• The parent is advised and given recommendations for the child to cope better.
• The need for further work with the special education teacher is determined.

The competence of the special education teacher includes the following areas:

• Matters concerning the development and raising of the child
• Concerns/problems related to the child’s learning
• Issues related to social skills and communication
• Concerns related to the child’s behaviour (underactivity or hyperactivity, emotional problems, etc.)
• Problems with the child adapting to and coping in social situations, in the kindergarten or groups
• Issues related to cognitive processes and thinking skills
• Suspicion that the child is lagging behind age-appropriate development
• Teaching and support the development of children with special needs
• Issues related to supporting a gifted child
• Adaptations in the kindergarten, causes related to coping and respective techniques to help the child to cope in the kindergarten
• Special techniques and exercises at home with the child and for overall development of the child
• Knowledge on how to and practical skills to support the mental, cognitive and social development of a toddler
• In case of primary school children, advice is available to determine the causes for difficulties at school and to alleviate them

Individual class with a special education teacher

Duration 45 min with the child, price €55

Special educational activity – guiding and supporting the comprehensive development of the child using special methods and techniques in order to encourage the development of mental processes and personality. Individual attention is paid to various areas of the child’s development, the development of perception, attention and concentration processes, social and communication skills, learning skills, and fine motor skills.

For toddlers, the child’s mental processes and manual activity, which are the basis for acquiring skills necessary for school (reading, writing, thinking) can be developed.

Special educational work is playful and age-appropriate for the child.

Virtual counselling with the special education teacher

Duration 45 minutes, price €50

Virtual counselling takes place at a pre-arranged time suitable for the client and the counsellor via a video call, using Skype, Messenger, Viber, WhatsApp, or other app.
